Grand Council of the Crees

The Grand Council of the Crees has depended on gordongroup to produce several of its primary publications in recent years. We are responsible for the start-to-finish development of Eeyou Eenou Nation, a magazine that keeps the Cree Nation up-to-date on news from its governing Council. Published in Cree, English, and French, the magazine is distributed to schools, businesses, and community band offices.

In addition, gordongroup produces the Council’s annual report, titled Eenou Eeyou, providing writing, editing, translation, graphic design, illustration, and print management services.

The Council also commissioned gordongroup to publish I Dream of Yesterday and Tomorrow, a hard-cover, 175-page book that tells the inspiring story of James Bay Cree through legends, written historical records, essays, photographs, and discussions with Elders, band leaders, and youth. The book emphasizes the importance of preserving the traditional Cree ways while looking toward the future.
